The Art of Likes

Recently a company that I personally follow on Facebook posted a status update asking for likes, and in return, they would post a picture of their new facility.  The company is PVIK (Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting) based out of Hatfield, Massachusetts.
Their post:

I applaud the PVIK marketing team on this simple, yet effective post.  Not only did they reach their goal of 100 likes in less than 2 hours, they also added 100+ followers since this post 4 days ago.
Interaction with your constituents will go a long way, and if you take a quick look at this page, you will see that PVIK and their future guests are amped for this new entertainment in the Western Massachusetts area.
Likes, Shares, and comments are a great way to drive potential business to your company’s social media outlets.  Remember, if you’re looking to drive up revenue through the use of social media, always have links that direct your customer-base back to your website for more info.  What is the next step for PVIK? Getting 1200 likes on their Facebook page!
Good luck guys,
